As a launch title accompanying a brand new console,The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildhas done a standup job of convincing gamers to invest in the Nintendo Switch. The latestZeldahas received a number of perfect scoresfrom critics, and has quickly become a must-have amongst audiences the world over. Of course, that could only fuel the new platform for so long, which is why the Big N plans to releaseMario Kart 8 Deluxenear the end of April – much to the delight of consumers itching for more games to play.
One of the biggest issues fans have had with the Nintendo Switch has been a lack of onboard memory. Fortunately, it turns out thatMario Kart 8 Deluxewill not require an ample amount of room once installed on the unit, only requiring a very modest 6.75GB of space. This revelation came via an Amazon Germany listing for a download of the game, allowing perspective players to start planning on how they’ll be managing their internal or additional MicroSD memory space on Switch.
Billed as the de facto version ofMario Kart 8, the addition of the word “Deluxe” on the title is a rather straight-forward indicator for fans that there is a fair bit of new content to look forward to with this new release. As it turns out, the additional content won’t take up a ton of space either, as the reworked battle mode and new characters (like Dry Bones andSplatoon’s Inklings) will all seemingly fit comfortably on 6.75GB.
Of course, if Nintendo plans on supporting this rendition ofMario Kart 8with further DLC post-launch then more space will be required for that. If that is the case, then there’s sure to be alaundry list of new racersthat fans will be hoping to see join the title, but for now Switch owners can make do with the surplus of Mushroom Kingdom mainstays and guest mascots that are currently found zipping around in karts.
