Although that scene is comedic, it quickly becomes clear thatMarty is very intense about ping-pong and is willing to sacrifice everything for success, because the game is popular overseas, and he views it as his ticket to glory. A series of intense scenes of gameplay and interpersonal drama then play out, scored by a remix of “Forever Young.”
