Amazon MGM Studios' reimagining ofThe Thomas Crown Affairhas found its new co-lead, who will star alongside Michael B. Jordan. Followinghis dual performance in Ryan Coogler’sSinners, Jordan is attached to direct and star in a remake of the 1968 crime thriller starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. According toVariety,Andor’s Adria Arjona is joining the project afterEscape Room’s Taylor Russell left due to creative differences.Arjona is playing an insurance investigator who’s sent to find the person responsiblefor the main bank heist, but falls in love with Jordan’s billionaire thief. TheHit Manactor joins a cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk, and Aiysha Hart.
Drew Pearce wrote the script, but plot details are still being kept a secret. This film is the second attempt to remake the romance-heist classic after a 1999 version with the same title that starred Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. Jordan’s version is set to debut in theaters on July 19, 2025.
