The Astral Alpha set is one of the many armor sets you can get from playing events inMonster Hunter World. This one offers more than just good looks — it also has a convenient set of armor skills that strike a decent balance between personal DPS, defense, and team-wide support.
Like everything else inMonster Hunter World,you’re going to need to spend some time farming for all the materials needed to make the Astral Alpha set. Here are all the things you need to make each armor piece.

Gratitude Ticketscan be earned by completing event quests during theGrand Appreciation Festevent.Events rotate every two weeks, and you’ll know if the Grand Appreciation Fest is ongoing if the Gathering Hub is filled with paper lanterns. If the event is active, you’ll get one Gratitude Ticket every day when you login, and you’ll get more if you finishbounties.
Purecrystalshave a chance to drop from blue mining outcrops in any of the Master Rank maps, whileGraciumcan only be mined from outcrops inHoarfrost Reach. Either go mine them yourself or useTailrider Safarito passively gather them.
Monster Toughbonescan be gathered from any large Master rank monster or via Tailrider Safari runs. You can get some just by farming normally, but if you really need to get more bones quickly and easily, you can hunt a Great Jagras in the optionalGreat Jagras Returnsquest.
The Astral Alpha set gives the following skills:
Arguably the most important piece of this set is the Astral Cloth piece, which givestwo points of Critical Boost. This skill increases the damage of your critical strikes to 135% at Level 2, significantly increasing the value of weapons with Affinity. Astral Cloth Alpha also has one small gem slot for a bit of extra buildcrafting flexibility. It’s a great armor piece to have if you’re looking to build an offensive armor set.
