NetherRealm Studios is lining up its next major event forMortal Kombat 11. The studio just released a teaser for what it’s callingMortal Kombat 11Player Appreciation Week. The teaser doesn’t contain any information about the event other than that it’s “Koming Soon” and that it’ll start next week. “NetherRealm’s most wanted goods are on the horizon,” reads part of the message, insinuating thatMortal Kombat 11players should expect ample reward.

The only other hint aboutMortal Kombat 11’s upcoming event that can be drawn is the attached photo. The photo showsKabal, Kitana, and Jade sporting their maskless skin variants. These three skins are currently available inMortal Kombat 11already, but they are somewhat challenging to acquire. It’s possible that NetherRealm will make these skins available in a much simpler and accessible way.

In addition to the official teaser, NetherRealm also has a message withinMK11itself. The message reads, “Player Appreciation week begins next week! Look for special towers on Monday and Tuesday!” This message perhaps implies what kind of special content players can expect duringMortal Kombat 11Player Appreciation Week, as it seems there will be new towers for players to challenge starting on the aforementioned days.

This could mean that instead of the masklessMortal Kombat 11skinsbeing made available as rewards, there will instead be special maskless towers or even similarly themed towers for players to conquer. Also, note that the message only mentions new towers for Monday and Tuesday. Player Appreciation Week is more than just two days, so other types of content could be made available throughout the rest of the week.

NetherRealm Studios continues to try and makeMortal Kombat 11a game players can revisit week-to-week, whether they’re grinding matchmaking or not. In addition to the upcoming Player Appreciation Week, NetherRealm has been holding specialKrypt Events, with each hiding a special rare reward withinMK11’s Krypt. Hopefully, NetherRealm continues to offer great rewards to dedicatedMortal Kombat 11players in the future.

Mortal Kombat 11is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
