The audiobook’s listing on Audible provides a summary for it. The main character will apparently beAliyah Kahn, who is a “card shark and hustler.” While she makes a living through “smarts and street scams,” she eventually becomes an Assassin as a result of losing to and having to repay a man named Gavin Banks.
In the process of Aliyah’s training to be an Assassin, Banks informs her of the familiar story of the long feud that has existedbetween theTemplarsand the Assassins, “imploring her to help him decode a secret message inscribed on an illegal form of currency during the Great Recoinage of 1696.” The summary also provides the cast behind the characters' voices and states that there will be appearances from historical figures like Isaac Newton. The audiobook can be pre-ordered for $21.81 before shipping and tax.
While some fans are likely to question the decision to make an audiobook for theAssassin’s Creedfranchise, others might be yearning for a fresh take on it. However, instead of consecutive years of newAssassin’s Creedgames, an audiobook will be an interesting way to experienceAssassin’s Creed.
2020’sAssassin’s Creedgamehas a chance to improve upon the mechanics established byAssassin’s Creed Odyssey.Just asAssassin’s Creed Odysseyimproved upon the gameplay systems ofAssassin’s Creed Origins, so can the alleged Viking-themed 2020Assassin’s Creediteration. Until then, however, fans can go ahead and listen to the series' first audiobook coming this Spring.
