Fallout 76is confirmed to be set in the hills of West Virginia, which includes landmarks such as the New River Gorge Bridge and Monongahela National Forest, as a prequel to the other games. In the trailer (depicted below), fans get their first look at the newest elements of the franchise, including screens of the hills of West Virginia, the focus on rebuilding humanity, and a set of power armor, promising the future begins in Vault 76.
