A brand new Halloween Event inHunt: Showdownis now live for PC. Console players, however, will have to wait a bit longer to enjoy the update, as Crytek has revealed that it is being postponed.

Hunt: Showdown’s Halloween Eventcomes with exclusive content, in-game event points, and changes to the map. This timed event is unlike anything Crytek has done with the game before, so it is exciting for fans to jump into the game, smash pumpkins, and earn legendary gear. But console players cannot enjoy the event quite yet.

According to a tweet from the officialHunt: Showdownpage, Crytek has experienced “unforeseen issues” with bringing the event to consoles, and therefore it is postponed. It is clear that Crytek wanted the content to go live across all platforms at the same time, and it says it is “really, really, REALLY sorry” about the situation. Crytek promises to get the content up and running soon so that no one misses out on the fun.

AlthoughHunt: Showdownis on PS4and Xbox One, console players are often stuck with a lesser experience, or at the very least, a later experience. The PC version has test servers, meaning that the community can try out new ideas before anyone, and updates always come to the PC first, usually by a few weeks, or up to a month. While the game is getting closer to a one to one experience, the PC version always seems to be a bit ahead of consoles.

Hunt: Showdownis an exhilarating experience for new playersand veterans alike. Crytek has done an excellent job supporting the game, and the Halloween Event is a great example of the developer trying new things to freshen up the game. The fact that console players have to wait extra time is unfortunate, but hopefully, the content will arrive soon and everyone can enjoy the game together.

Hunt: Showdownis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
