Minecraftfans have plenty of new content to look forward to as the franchise as a whole received a ton of different announcements throughout the Minecraft Live event. During the show, it was announced that Max Brooks will be releasing a follow up to his firstMinecraftnovel, titledMinecraft: The Mountain.
Minecraft: The Moutainwill be a direct sequel to Max Brooks' 2017 hit bookMinecraft: The Islandwhich featured different chapters in which each taught the reader a different life lesson.Minecraft: The Islandtold a story of a hero stranded in theworld ofMinecraft, learning how things work just like players of the overwhelmingly popular game once did. Minecraft:The Mountainwill continue the adventures of the same protagonist who finds another stranded wanderer in thisMinecraftworld and the two of them will continue their adventures together.

Max Brooks’Minecraft: The Islandwas a New York Times Best Seller in 2017 and the first officialMinecraftnovel. Brooks is most famous for his best selling book,World War Z, which was adapted loosely into a feature film sharing the same title starring Bard Pitt in 2013 and had a video game under the same name in 2019. The video game,World War Z, received positive reviews and offered a satisfactory experience that allows friends to wipe out hordes of zombies.
Judging but the title,Minecraft: The Moutaintakes place in the mountains, obviously, which may share the same kind of setting as the recently announcedMinecraft DungeonsDLC, Howling Peaks.Minecraft DungeonsHowling Peakswas just announced during Minecraft Live and is bringing new missions and enemies for players to face off against up on harrowing peaks.
Minecraft: The Mountainis scheduled to release in 2021.
