Following the news thatPaper Mario: The Origami Kingwill be coming to the Switch this July, Nintendo has also revealed that four older titles will be added to Nintendo Switch Online on May 20. The addition ofRygarfor the NES andWild Guns,Panel de Pon, andOperation Logic Bombfor the SNES will bring the total number of games on the platform to 82 titles.
This is the first update to Nintendo Switch Online since February. The service, which costs $19.99 a year, has seen numerous additions since it launched in September 2018 with 20NES titles. SNES titles were added a year later and the collection is still going strong.

Originally released asWarrior of Argus,Rygarwas ported to the NES in 1986 is a side-scrolling platform game that saw a 3D rebirth on the PS2 in 2002.Wild Gunscame out for the SNES in 1994 and is a unique shooter best known for its incredible difficulty and combination of western and steam punk themes.Panel de Pon, better known asTetris Attack, will see its first ever US release and is a design from the late Gunpei Yokoi. Debuting onthe SNESin 1995, the critically acclaimed puzzle game has players matching blocks in horizontal and vertical patterns to clear and score points, a mechanism that has become increasingly popular over the past decade.Operation Logic Bombis a 1993 SNES action game in the vein ofContraand is a sequel to the Game Boy titleFortified Zone.
All four titles are over a quarter of a century old, but it is always nice to have new content to enjoy, particularly with what is going on in the world right now. The nostalgia for these older games has only grown with the releases of the NES and SNES Classic consoles. Nintendo Switch Online is a cheaper alternative and the library has grown beyond what the physical products can offer.
