Today, Nintendo officially announced its decision to bring itsSplatoon 2Edition Pro Controller for the Switch to North America by way of a listing on one of its official Twitter accounts. According to the post, theSplatoon 2Pro Controller is set to launch alongside the game on Jun 09, 2025, when it releases worldwide for the Big N’s relatively new console.

As seen in the tweet from Nintendo and the two complementary images below,Splatoon 2fans can take note of the box art, as well as a front and back view of what the Pro Controller will look like. The two grips feature neon pink and green colors, while the body itself is decorated with a plethora of different black paint splatter designs that contrast against the peripheral’s dark gray hue, but unfortunately, the company failed to disclose an exact price of the item.

For those unaware, theSplatoon 2controller was originally unveiled last month during the Japanese broadcast of theARMS-focused Nintendo Direct, which also had the company reveal other accessories related to the colorful paint-based shooter. To be specific, the Big N also detailed neon pink and green Joy-Cons, as well asNintendo Switch bundle containing the game. As of yet though, it remains to be seen if these otherSplatoon 2-related items will come to the US, but considering the announcement of the Pro Controller above, it seems likely they will eventually get released stateside.

All things considered, with a plethora of accessories inspired bySplatoon 2on the way, it looks like Nintendo is putting heavy stock in promoting the title as its next major landmark release for the Switch. With this surely being the case, fans should expect to see the game covered heavily during Nintendo’s E3 2017 presentation next week, especially since the company has planneda tournament for the multiplayer titlethat will take place during the event.
