Kyoji Asano said in a recent interview that he’s been working on the character designs for the new series, but that’s about it. He hasn’t been able to make too much progress lately, but he’s still been focusing on the cuts that will bring the series to life. It’s not much of an update, but it’s better than nothing from a franchise beloved the world over.
