ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan caught up with Cline and got some insight into the feeling on theOuter Banksset,
Ash Crossan:Are you in Outer Banks land? Right now
Madelyn Cline: I’m in Outer Banks world! You can tell by this very coastal-looking thing and walls.
Ash Crossan:It’s giving beach house behind you. How are you feeling about wrapping up with this final season?
Madelyn Cline: Oh God, it’s so funny. Everyone’s in such a good mood – not in an “oh my God, we’re so excited to be finished” way, but because we realize this is our last go-around. Every day is our last time doing this, so I think we’re all just enjoying the experience, enjoying doing this together, and really soaking in this last chapter of this book or novel of our lives that has spanned six years and taken up so much time and energy in the best way. It’s fun, but it’s fucking hot! Yesterday, they put us in the swamp, and I was like, “Oh hell, where’s the good attitude?” Because right now I’m covered in 10 pounds of heat, swamp water, mosquitoes, sweat, and fake tan. My sensory issues are going crazy.
Ash Crossan:Well, hey, maybe one day we’ll get a legacy sequel of Outer Banks.
Madelyn Cline: Hey, you know what? I would love to come back and do a little cameo. I’ve already told Jonas – anything in the Outer Banks universe, let me come back and do something really fun and silly.
