This is how friendships are destroyed

Indie Game Stand is still a bit new to me, but I really like what I’ve seen from the deal site recently. Right now, you can grabSuper Tower Rushon Windowsfor as low as a buck, with an activation key for Desura included. Paying above the average — still just a couple bucks — nets you wallpapers and the original soundtrack as bonuses. I’d at least consider going with the first option, even if this game is a work in progress.

The video above walks through the basic premise ofSuper Tower Rush, which is that you and a friend (soon to be foe) are at the top of a tower and must race to the bottom. Along the way, you’ll dodge obstacles and screw one another over with curses. There’s not a whole lottothe game, but what’s there is no-nonsense, arcade-style fun.

As for the “work in progress” piece, the game is in an alpha stage right now, although it doesn’t necessarily feel like it, mechanically. That said, “an online multiplayer mode, story mode and new characters to unlock” are yet to be implemented. Totally worth a buck.
