It’s December, and for most people that means two things: the year is about to end, and it’s the perfect time to buy stuff en masse. Embracing both of those things, Sony has kicked off a massivesale on the PlayStation Store, the “End of Year Sale.” A fitting name for what’s likely to be the last major PlayStation-related sale for 2019.
“Massive” is a good word to describe it, because whereas most PS Store sales usually feature discounts on a few dozen games at the most, theEnd of Year Saleexceeds those numbers by a sizable margin. As of today, there are hundreds of PS4, PSVR, and even PS3 games available on thePS Storeat discounts ranging from 20-85%, forming quite the eclectic selection of cheaply-available games just in time for the holidays.
There are a few caveats to add to that, though. While the Sale currently lists 772 discounted items, a sizable chunk of those consist of DLC packs for various games. Also, while there are a few popular titles from the last year or two in the mix, likeAssassin’s Creed Odyssey,Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, andRed Dead Redemption 2, the majority are a mix of well-known and less-known games from further back in the PS4’s lifespan.

Nevertheless, there are quite a fewunderrated PS4 gamesthat deserve more attention, and quite a few of them are on sale right now. So without further ado, here’s a small selection of some of the more notable titles available in the End of Year Sale, along with their current prices and discounts, just to give interested PS4 users an idea of what to expect:
It’s not currently clear how long the End of Year Sale will last, though it seems safe to assume it will run somewhere from one-to-two weeks. Either way, PS4 owners may want to act fast, because withthe PlayStation 5 coming next year, this holiday season will be the last they will be able to spend with PS4 games before they are eclipsed by the games of the next generation.
