A new month is here, which meansPokemon GOplayers have another lineup of Battle Raid bosses to challenge in the coming weeks. The return of Heatran after the conclusion of the holiday events, in addition to some exciting lower tier inclusions andRaid bonuses available through the ongoing Adventure Sync events, should help make early to mid January a very good time to be a PvE raider.
The main attraction inPokemon GOBattle Raids right now is Heatran. This Legendary is fairly most meta-relevant and trainers will want to make sure they secure a few strong copies of the Pokemon for future Raids and PvP battles. Players should make sure to review ourupdated Heatran Raid counters guideto prepare the best team for taking down the challenging new boss.

Although Heatran may get most ofthe metagame spotlight(and a new weekly Legendary Raid hour event to go along with it), there are some other exciting options in the current Raid rotation worth noting. Tier 1 is fully stocked with shiny potential (minus one option), so collectors will likely want to focus on those raids to work on their shiny dex. Raiders will be happy to see another opportunity to collect addition Tyranitars and Golems, but those aren’t the only Raids worth doing.
The list is fairly stacked and should offer trainers plenty of motivation to brave the cold weather and get outside for some Raids this month. Keep in mind that the raid lineup is subject to change and will likely shift around a bit when the next surprise event kicks off inPokemon GO.
For now, players may want to keep hunting downthe best Unova Pokemon in the gameif improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for morePokemon GOstrategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
