AlthoughPokemon GO’sGiratina may be popular just because it is a very cool looking Pokemon, the Legendary actually doesn’t currently have a ton of uses in the mobile title’s metagame. That is all about to change according to some new information that revealsGiratina Origin Formeis going to get a massive moveset buff with the addition of Shadow Ball.

The number-crunching Pokemon community has been complaining about the lack of use for Giratina’s Origin forme since they began analyzing it, but the latest datamine changes everything. The new code confirms a number of changes to the Legendary creature’s moveset. Most importantly, Shadow Ball is being added to the options.

Shadow Ball is a very powerful move and is going to make this Giratina forme a staple ofthePokemon GOPvP sceneand a serious consideration for many Battle Raid rosters. This is great news for players and additional motivation to try and catch a high IV version of the level five Raid Boss.
