Pokemon GOcompletionists are going to have the opportunity to add at least three new Pokedex entries to their collection this month, thanks to theBug-type themed Field Tasks and Research Breakthrough reward. A new Gen 3 evolution family has arrived in the game, but players won’t be able to find these bugs in the wild.
Instead,Pokemon GOplayers will need to use a combination of Field Research and Breakthrough Reward packages to obtain the Nincada family of Pokemon. The new creatures may not be super relevant to the metagame, but everyone who wants a complete Pokedex should still take the time to learn how to catch each of the three newcomers…
Nincada
To secure the first step in the Nincada family, players will need to hunt down the “Catch 5 Bug-Types” Field Task this month. Nincada is the encounter reward for that task and, as far as we can tell so far, this is the only way to obtain the new Pokemon.
Ninjask
Much like Nincada, Ninjask is also not available in the wild at this point. To get a Ninjask, players will need to first obtain a Nincada and 50 Nincada candy. Users can reach that goal by doing the Nincada task multiple times, using Pinap Berries with their Research Breakthrough, and turning Rare Candy into Nincada candy.
Once players have a Nincada and the 50 candy, they simply need to evolve the creature into Ninjask.
Shedinja
Obtaining Shedinja is perhaps the easiest, because players just need toclaim a Research Breakthroughduring November. Many players had seven stamps saved up and already added this creature to their collection yesterday. Be sure to take care of this at least once in the next few weeks, because there’s definitely a time limit on this offering.
That’s all there is to it! Check back throughout the month for more updates, guides, and news. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
