Alolan variants were first introduced inPokemon Sun and Moonbut were brought intoPokemon GOandPokemon Let’s Gomuch sooner. In fact, players can already get Alolan Pokemon in the latter, despite the fact that they did not first appear in the Kanto region. Currently, there are two known methods to obtain these variants inPokemon Let’s Go.
The first method is the easiest, but requires players to have obtained the Pokemon inLet’s Go’smobile counterpartPokemon GO. Afterward, players just simply need totransfer the Pokemon between the two, but it’s worth mentioning players will need to make it to Fuchsia City first.
The other method is less direct, but makes the Pokemon obtainable earlier in some scenarios.Let’s Goplayers will meet new NPCs from the Alola region that will trade their form for the standard Kanto form. This simply means players will need to find the standard form and then take them to any of the following locations for the Alolan form:
Of course, as seen above, not every Alolan form can be found prior to reaching Fuchsia City, but trading these Pokemon is a good way to get variety on the team early. After all, not only are they drastically different in appearance, they are drastically different in typing.
All things considered, adding Alolan Pokemon toPokemon Let’s Gowas likely a wise choice, as many are sure to want this variant. Plus, with the aforementioned methods being simple and direct, many are likely to enjoy that facet. Of course, many are also likely interested in obtaining Mew, socheck out that guide here.
