Speaking of Darkrai, one Redditor has made a staggering discovery about its beta version and the subsequent movie,Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai.Reddit user cursed_mongus uploaded a photo collage on the social media platform containing three images, two of which are of the movie’s theatrical poster, while the third is of Darkrai’s beta variant. The pictures seemingly show a striking resemblance between Darkrai’s beta design and the symbol on thePokemonmovie poster. However, it should be noted that the aforementioned symbol is only present in the Japanese version of the poster.
The Reddit community positively received the post as it garnered more than 4,000 upvotes and numerous comments, where most users appreciated cursed_mongus’s keen eye for detail. One person pointed out that even Darkrai’s eye is visible in the poster when zoomed in and inspected closely. Surprisingly, this reference to Darkrai’s beta design managed to remain hidden from the world until nearly fifteen years after the movie’s release.
