Steve Buscemi’s Good Buddy Has Already Shown Signs Of Being The Iguana

Why Charlie’s Radio Friend Might Actually Be The Assassin

Steve Buscemi’s “Good Buddy” character has plenty of signs pointing to him being the Iguana. For one,he didn’t start contacting Charlie until after she’d made amends with Hasp. Given how friendly the pair became, she’s implied to have told him everything about her connection to the crime lord, indicating how the Iguana knows to use her.

This compelling circumstantial evidence points to Good Buddy being the Iguana.

He also allowed Charlie to stay in New York City, where she met Alex. However, the true purpose was likely to ensure he could keep track of her whereabouts more easily, since she would be in one place instead of traveling across the country like she usually does. This compelling circumstantial evidence points to Good Buddy being the Iguana.

No Matter Who He Is, The Assassin Will Be A Deadly Opponent

Whileit won’t be clear if the Iguana is Buscemi’s character or not until the finalepisodeofPoker Faceseason 2, the assassin will still pose a formidable threat to Charlie and Alex. He’s on their trail to Beatrix’s location, meaning when they finally get there, they’ll be facing even more danger than they’re already in.

It seems likely the Iguana and Good Buddy are one and the same, explaining why Charlie is so important for the assassin to keep alive. It would also give Buscemi’s character a larger role in the story asPoker Faceseason 2 comes to a close. For now, though, only the season finale can confirm who the hitman really is.

Poker Faceseason 2, episode 12, “The End of the Road,” arrives Thursday, July 10 on Peacock.
