Agent Luca was on an undercover FBI mission at the wedding of Victoria and Kirby. He poses as a messenger on behalf of Beatriz Hasp, Kirby’s estranged mom. He was quietlylive-streaming the wedding as a condition for Beatrix to testify against the Five Families, a plot point established earlier in the season.

After Kirby’s death, Luca overlooks all the evidence that points to Alex being his killer because of his faith in Charlie. Once he and his FBI associates discover thatThe Iguana, the mythical and deadliest hitman the Bureau has ever heard of, was at the wedding, Luca starts to put all the pieces together.

Charlie and Alex, desperate for help, are now leading the Iguana right to Beatrix so she can’t testify against the Five Families.

Without knowing how the Iguana actually killed Kirby,Luca deduces that Kirby’s death was merely a trap set for Charlie. Somehow, the Iguana must have known that Charlie had a connection to Beatrix, who was his real target. Charlie and Alex, desperate for help, are now leading the Iguana right to Beatrix so she can’t testify against the Five Families.

Why Charlie & Alex Are Reaching Out To Beatrix Hasp For Help

Charlie Calls Herself The Only Person On Earth That Beatrix Still Trusts

Charlie knows that Alex didn’t kill Kirby and finds the Iguana’s fake eye anddisguise as Todd, Kirby’s old high school teacher. She helps Alex escape from Luca and the FBI at the wedding venue, but they don’t go back to New York. Instead, they’re heading to Illinois to ask Beatrix for help in thePoker Faceseason 2 finale.

Charlie follows Beatrix’s fake Instagram account where she only posts baked goods. Rather than message her,she figures out through a screenshot and a basic image searchwhere Beatrix is hiding in witness protection.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Charlie thinks that Beatrix will actually help her and Alex deal with the Five Families.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Charlie thinks that Beatrix will actually help her and Alex deal with the Five Families. She calls herself the one person in the world whom Beatrix trusts, ready to put all her chips on the table to see if that’s true. She tells Alex that Beatrix would “rather find the real killer than to see her whacked.”

The Five Families Are Likely Coming After Beatrix In The Season 2 Finale

One of the Five Families likely hired the Iguana to take out Kirby as a decoy assassination. Killing Kirby would either bring Beatrix out of hiding or create a direct pathway to her, which is exactly what Charlie and Alex end up being. If the Iguana set the trap on Charlie and Alex, then there’s no doubt he’s following them in the season 2 finale.

Luca realizes that someone wanting tokill Kirby because of his Ballzilla energy drink scam would make no sense. It has to be linked to his mother, Beatrix. Luca predicts that “there’s gonna be a bloodbath” in thePoker Faceseason 2 finale, which is interestingly titled “The End of the Road.”
