Having built up a solid player-base since its release in 2015,Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siegehas managed to become one of Ubisoft’s key attractions, thanks to the live-service-style drip-feeding of new content. And now, for a limited time, that attraction won’t just be open to those already playing, but to all, rich and poor alike.

That’s becauseRainbow Six Siegeis now completely free-to-play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. From now until September 3, Ubisoft is letting anyone and everyone download the game from UPlay or their digital console store of choice.

All of theRainbow Six Siegemaps are available, along with all of the modes and Operators. For anyone who’s ever been interested in trying out the constantly-expandingtactical team-based shooter action, the time is now.

That won’t be the case once September 4 rolls around, however, when Ubisoft reverts back to the usual pay-to-play approach. The deals won’t stop there, though, as Ubisoft is offering the game for a discounted price (up to 70% off) across all platforms. This will enable players to continue inRainbow SixSiegevia their progress during the free trial.

The discount will last on PC until September 4 on Steam and theEpic Games Store, and September 10 on the Ubisoft Store. Console-wise, it will be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Store until September 9.

Some would argue that there is no better time to join in onRainbow Six Siege, especially since the next big update,Operation Ember Rise is just around the corner. The next season ofSiege’s fourth year will mark theaddition of two new Operatorsnamed Amaru and Goyo, as well as the debut of a reworked version of the Kanal map, a new unranked playlist, and the first stage in the rollout ofSiege’s new battle pass system.
