Gang hideouts are special events that can occur at different times and places in Red Dead Online’s massive open world, and will be marked by a red skull on the map when they’re available. After locating and traveling to the gang hideout, which can be done in aposse of other players, the event will begin proper.
Here is a list of known gang hideouts in Red Dead Online and where they can be found on the world map:
All gang hideout events consist of the same thing, more or less. The main goal is to kill all of the gang members at the hideout, which will then prompt their leader to surrender. Players can choose to spare the leader or kill them. Regardless, players will be rewarded for taking over the gang hideout, and if they search around the area, they will likely come up with even more rewards as well.
Typically, there are two kinds of extra rewards thatRed Dead Redemption 2players will find after taking out a gang hideout in Red Dead Online. They may find a treasure map by looting the dead gang leader, or if they choose to spare him, it’s possible he will offer atreasure mapas thanks for sparing his life. Players can also find chests hidden at the gang hideout that can be looted for cash and other valuable items, not unlike robbing a homestead in the Story mode.
