A new rumor cropped up on Reddit today claiming that Amazon had briefly put up a listing for aSuper Mario Collectionfor the Nintendo Switch. Screenshots of the listing were shared, with the listing featuring an official-looking placeholder box art. This isn’t the first that aSuper Mario Collectionfor the Switch has been heard of, but an Amazon listing certainly isn’t reliable.
In late March a report was circulated that Nintendo was working on aSuper Mario Collectionthat would bundle remastered versions ofNintendo’s 3DMariogames. The bundle would includeSuper Mario 64,Super Mario Sunshine,Super Mario Galaxy, andSuper Mario Galaxy 2.

The Amazon listing for theSuper Mario Collection, unfortunately, didn’t offer any corroborative information. No games were listed for the collection. In fact, no description was provided for the collection whatsoever. The only potentially interesting information on the page was a release date of May 30, 2025. This is a Friday, the weekdayNintendotypically launches its games.
The unfortunate truth is that Amazon Listings are relatively easy to fake, as are simplistic box arts like what was on the profile. There’s nothing on theAmazon listingthat proves that theSuper Mario Collectionexists. Nevertheless, it’s also possible that it’s real. And with the previous reports about theSuper Mario Collection, speculation is all but certain to flare up again.
If theSuper Mario Collectionexists and if Amazon is preparing to post a profile of the game for pre-orders, the announcement could be coming soon. If that’s true, perhaps there’s aNintendo Direct coming soon, filling the role of what would be Nintendo’s E3 press conference. Fans will just have to wait and see.
Super Mario Collectionis rumored for the Nintendo Switch.
