Ahead of the highly anticipatedShadow of the Tomb Raiderreveal today, many details about the game have already surfaced, such as the variousShadow of the Tomb Raidereditions that are expected to be released, as well as indications of aSeason Passfor the game. Square Enix has only posted a teaser trailer for the game though, but aTomb Raiderfan managed to get hold of the officialShadow of the Tomb Raidertrailer and posted it ahead of the official reveal by Square Enix.
The officialShadow of the Tomb Raidertrailer contains all the scenes revealed in theteaser trailer, and seems to elaborate on what we have already seen. The officialShadow of the Tomb Raidertrailer shows various indications of a Mayan landscape, which is not a surprise since Square Enix has already revealed that Lara will be preventing a Maya apocalypse in the new game. The trailer also features a masked villain, who might be indicative of the main antagonist to Lara Croft in the game.
The trailer does not show the gameplay ofShadow of the Tomb Raiderthough, but it does reveal that Lara Croft will continue to fight with a bow and arrow, guns, and what seems to be a combat knife, which is a new addition to Lara’s arsenal. The trailer also does not show what fans can expect from tombs in the game, but based on the grand locations teased in the video, the tombs are sure to be impressive.
From this trailer, we can assume thatShadow of the Tomb Raiderwill be similar in gameplay to the previous twoTomb Raidergames released in 2013 and 2015, but hopefully with even more improvements.
We are excited to learn of the Tomb Raiderin the full game reveal by Square Enix, but judging from material released of the game so far, the game looks very promising for old and newTomb Raiderfans.
Shadow of the Tomb Raiderwill be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on September 14th of this year.
