Meri, 53, was the first wife of polygamist patriarch Kody Brown’s first wife. The couple married in 1990 and had one child together. Robyn, 45, was Kody’s fourth wife. They married in 2010, and had five children together, including three from Robyn’s previous marriage.
Meri was actually the one who introduced Kody to Robyn and encouraged him to court her. For many years, the relationship between the two women worked. Meri and Robyn were close allies within the Brown family. In many ways, it wasRobyn who kept Meri from leaving the marriage sooner. When Meri divorced Kody duringSister Wivesseason 19, her relationship with Robyn fell apart, but Meri admitted to there being tension long before then.

DuringSister Wivesseason 19,Meri and her best friend, Jenn Sullivan,discussed Meri’s relationship with Robyn. “There’s so many people that are like she was a fraud, she was a liar, she was manipulating,” Meri says of Robyn. Meri admitted thather relationship with Robyn had deteriorated. “We were very close. And then it started, there was a divide,” she says. Jenn reminded Meri, “She’d act like she was your best friend, and then completely ignore you and hurt your feelings.” Meri went on to accuse Robyn of ghosting her for months.
Robyn Didn’t Want Meri To Leave
Robyn married Kody because she wanted to live a polygamous lifestyle. AfterChristine Brown and Janelle Brown left Kody in 2021 and 2022respectively, Robyn was desperate for Meri to stay.
