This creation adds working ships that players can use to travel around the world ofSkyrim, with brand-new ship designs to discover. Gamers can even see other ships on their adventures while out at sea. The ship journeys work in real-time, allowing players to take in the atmosphere of the world, or the journey can be skipped by sleeping, making it another immersive way to fast-travel in-game.

Importantly, the mod has been designed with compatibility in mind, so it doesn’t actually change theworld ofSkyrimin any way. While there are some mods that “Functional Ships” has an incompatibility with, Enneal has various patches on the mod page to hopefully fix some of these conflicts. Functional ships certainly feel like something that could have been inSkyrimat launch, which is why its addition here feels like such a natural part of the game.
