While the couple might not be officially together yet, as they are both set on maintaining their secret identities for as long as possible, the series has done an excellent job of depicting their growing feelings. From Yor’s tendency to try and make her husband happy toAgent Twilight’s only weakness being the assassin’s smile.
Yet, when analyzing the series, another more stable and relatable pairing becomes clear: Camilla and Dominic. Ever since they were introduced in episode #2 of the anime, viewers have seen the amazing development that their relationship has gone through. Dominic has been a vital component in Camilla’s betterment as a person, and it shows how well they work together.

Camilla is best known for being Yor’s rude but soft coworker, who was introduced in episode #2 of theSpy x Familyanime. The woman is a clerk for Berlint City Hall, where she helps governmental officials deal with the mountains of paperwork assigned to them daily. Her first appearance depicted her bullying Yor for not having a husband despite being near the age of 30, claiming that the secret police could even mistake her for a spy. She then invited the assassin to a party, hoping to see her arrive alone so she could humiliate her further.
Her plan ultimately fails, as Yor meets Loid shortly before the event, and he defends her against Camilla’s accusations. It is during the party that fans meet Dominic, her boyfriend, who is a kind and gentle soul. He tries several times to keep his partner in check, telling her to stop being so rude to the assassin. Dominic acted as a mirror to his girlfriend’s aggressive and harsh personality, helping Yor and reassuring her that nothing bad would happen to her. Their significantly different attitudes quickly caught viewers’ attention, and they becameone of the best love stories in the series.

The Woman’s Development Is All Thanks to Her Boyfriend
Although Camilla began the series as a minor antagonist for Yor, the woman has had one of the most shocking developments inSpy x Family. Her relationship with Dominic helped her let go of her anger and jealousy to slowly become a good friend of Anya’s foster mother. The first example of this change came inone of the best missions in the anime, episode #16, in which Camilla helps Yor learn how to cook better for her family. Despite not being as joyful as one would expect from a friend, the woman was far nicer to her coworker than last time.
The following entries have also shownCamilla, Yor, and the rest of the womenwho work at City Hall talking about their daily lives without the sarcasm and prejudice that was present before. Dominic had proven to be what Camilla needed to let go of the anger and spite she had seemingly been carrying for years.The man did not force her to change, he showed her how to be kinder and more open to others. Although they do not appear often, their relationship is one of the healthiest the franchise has to offer.

Yor and Loid Could Learn From Them
One of the most admirable qualities of the relationship between Camilla and Dominic is their mutual acceptance of each other. Tatsuya Endo’s manga is, at its core, a series about characters withtragic and heartbreaking backstoriesfinding each other and becoming a family. Even though Camilla’s story has yet to be shared with fans, it is more than likely that she was also another victim of the war between Ostania and Westalis. Her anger at the world and rude behavior could be her lashing out against others because she did not know what else to do.
Dominic showed her that, despite the pain they felt, they could move on and be kind. He did not judge her for her behavior and instead tried to help her become a better person. Loid is often too focused on the success of their missions, like finding outwhat Donovan’s big plans might be, to take the time to appreciate the love of his daughter and wife. Nonetheless,Spy x Familyhas hinted at Twilight learning from those around him, and it might be possible that Dominic and Camilla could give him a lesson about unconditional love.
