None of that is new for the series, of course. The originalPanty & Stockinganime was famous for its expressive, creative, and all-around gorgeous animation, no matter what style a scene was going for, and it still stands tall even when compared toStudio Trigger’s best anime.
ThoughPanty and Stocking With Garterbelt’s crew contained many founding members of Trigger, the original anime was actually produced by Gainax.
With how great the premiere was, though,New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt’s production looks to be just as good as the original, if not better, and that alone will be great to watch.
Panty & Stocking’s Sequel Is Even Raunchier Than The Original, And It’s Amazing
Panty & Stocking Is Still Anime’s Most Vulgar Show
Panty & Stocking with Garterbeltis one of themost vulgar anime ever made, and the sequel hasn’t missed a step in that regard. The dialogue is still filled with absurd sex jokes and double entendres, and it still doesn’t shy away from nudity and fan service, either.
Much of the climax was built around the characters trying to give Panty her vagina back without being burnt alive by its incredible heat, and that’s something only a show like this could pull off.
Naturally,New Panty & Stocking with Garterbeltis especially raunchy in English.Panty & Stocking’s dubwas famous for being even more vulgar than the Japanese dub.
While Amazon Prime replaced all the voice actors and doesn’t diverge from the script as much as Funimation did, the English script is still wonderfully vulgar and the new cast does an incredible job, so it still stands as a rare anime that’s great to watch in any language.

The biggest source of praise forNew Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, however, is how it sets up its new story.
The premiere follows immediately fromPanty & Stocking’s infamous twist ending, and not only does the cast waste no time bringing Panty back to life, but the twist of Stocking being a demon is resolved with the reveal that she was brainwashed by Corset.

From there, Panty and Stocking inevitably get into a fight, but as is common with the girls, they quickly get bored with it and move on, more or less renewing thestatus quowith little fanfare.
The only notable change is that, as many people suspected, Scanty and Kneesocks have now officially joined the team, and the justification was little more than the characters just deciding to bring them along, even though they spent half the original anime trying to kill each other.
