Tell Me Liesseason 3 is on the way, but the popular romance drama just got an unexpected update. Created by Meaghan Oppenheimer and based on the 2018 novel by Carola Lovering, the Hulu series debuted in September 2022. It focuses on the toxic relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White), unfolding across different timelines.
Tell Me Liesseason 3has been filming since May. Although an exact release has yet to be announced, it is known thatLuciferstar Tom Ellis will reprise his role as the duplicitous Oliver. But according to the actor, it may be the last premiere.
Speaking withEntertainment Tonightahead of the release of the new movie,The Thursday Murder Club, which Ellis co-stars in and which premieres on Netflix on August 28, the actor was also asked about whetherTell Me Liesseason 3 will be the last. Ellis says that he thinks it will be. He mentions that Oppenheimer, who is also his wife, wrote it to be the final season:
Do you think season 3 will be the last?
Tom Ellis: I think so, yeah. I think Meghan has written to be the last season. For sure, yeah.
What This Means For Tell Me Lies Season 3
Hulu has not announced whetherTell Me Liesseason 3 will serve as the adaptation’s farewell. The streamer could be waiting to make that announcement alongside a release date. In any case, it does sound like the upcoming episodes have been written with a sense of finality in mind. Ellis also mentions that it may be the darkest yet, with unexpected partnerships.
After theshocking end toTell Me Liesseason 2, that’s something of a tall task. The previous installment concluded with the main characters reuniting for the wedding of Evan (Branden Cook) and Bree (Catherine Missal) in the 2015 timeline. Stephen waits until the big day to drop the bomb that Evan, one of his best friends, had a one-night stand with Lucy in the late 2000s.

Our Take On Tell Me Lies Season 3 Being The Last
Tell Me Liesseason 2 marked an increase in interest for the Hulu Original, with Lucy and Stephen’s twisty turns seeing an increase in viewership and in critical acclaim. It’d be unusual for a streaming series to bow out just as it is getting good. But if it’s what’s best for the story, then it’s better than prolonging the drama for the sake of it.
