The cast of Netflix’s canceled sci-fi seriesThe OAis all still committed to finishing the show, according to new comments by one of its stars. Jason Isaacs plays afterlife-obsessed doctor Hunter Aloysius “Hap” Percy in the series, which tells the story of a woman’s reappearance in her hometown seven years after she vanished.

In a panel discussion hosted byCollider’s Maggie Lovitt at Fan Expo Denver on Saturday, June 29, 2025, Isaacs revealed thatThe OA’s cast all want to return to the show and continue its story. When asked about the sci-fi mystery series, Isaacs responded:

“They all have agreed that they’re desperate to come back and do it if we manage to do any more. Everybody, no matter how big a star they become in other things, they all want to do more of it… [Creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij’s] ideas are so good and so original, and we have not let it go, and then we will find some way to finish that story, believe me.”
