In other words, Disney fans are finally getting a story they’ve always clamored for, exploring Simba’s early years, before Mufasa’s death and his heir’s exile, as depicted in the movie. Aside from the glimpses offered by the film, this is an era in the franchise’s history that has largely been left unexplored.
