Haha the memories
Ah, Pokemon cards. When I was a kid, I missed the cutoff where our county banned them from school property, so we were free to play and trade to our heart’s content. Now, those of you who live in Japan can relive those memories with the original starter pack.
On July 07, 2025, the initial craze will be remembered, complete with a 1,300 yen (roughly $10) 60 card deck, a coin (haha, remember those?), and an instruction manual. The play mat is sold separately (classic) at 5,000 yen (roughly $40).
Remember when crazy parents were saying that the cards (among other things likeHarry Potterbooks) were demonic so they shouldn’t be allowed in schools? Oh wait people still do that.
