The launch ofMarvel Knightsco-creator Joe Quesada and Christopher Priest’sThe World To Comealready showed what bombshells were on the way,crowning a new Black Panther in its first issue. But the world is bigger than Wakanda.

But the disastrous global events teased in the same issue have apparently given Frank Castle a new calling, and one Palmiotti teases is something even his longtime fans have never witnessed before:
“The secret behind Marvel Knights has always been creative alchemy: the perfect blend of raw talent and fearless storytelling, forged by creators who don’t flinch when things get intense. Now, years later, under the iconic Marvel Knights banner that Joe Quesada and I created all those years ago, I’m writing a brand-new Punisher series that’s being lit on fire by one of the industry’s most electrifying artists: the incomparable Dan Panosian.

With these teases of a new role for Frank, it appears this story will push back against the modern idea ofPunisher acting as a superhero(when not an explicit villain). And from the sound of it,The World To Comefuture is one where heroes are a rare breed.
Fans of the grim gunman were already celebrating the impending arrival ofThe Punisher: Red Bandin September, promising a no-holds-barred,, bloody good time. With the added plans of a future Frank, it’s clear he’s claiming the spotlight once more.
Marvel Knights: Punisherwill be released from Marvel Comics in October 2025.
