How To Host A Toddler Play Date
Before getting started, Sims must ensure theyhave a Toddler in their householdand know other Toddlers in their neighborhood to host the event. Unfortunately, new saves only include a few Toddlers in the worlds, so players must either create their own or wait for them to start appearing organically with Neighborhood Stories.
After making some Toddler friends, the next step will be getting the right items to ensure all the event goals can be met easily. These include a kitchen or grill, the Toddler Slide, a Stereo, and a Toddler Bookcase. Players can also play around with the baby gate and fences that came withthe Infant base game updateto keep the little ones restricted to one area to avoid wandering Toddlers.
Adult or Teen Sims can plan andhost a Toddler Play Date. Events can be planned ahead of time using the Calendar or started immediately from a phone under the Social App. Players must choose “Plan a Social Event..” to pull up the Event menu and set their party details like the host, guest list, and venue.
The Toddler Play Date requires at least one Adult or Caregiver, a Toddler Host, and any Toddler guests. All Toddlers will have a caregiver that escorts them to the event. Venues can be a Community Lot like a Park or the host’s house.

Like other events, Toddler Play Dates have a set of goals and a medal system. The main goal issocializing with the party guestsas the Adult or Toddler hosts. Players must also complete things like eating food, listening to music simultaneously, dancing, playing with a Toddler, and using the Toddler slide.
Choosing a smaller venue might be the best way to get everything done because Toddlers tend to have a mind of their own and don’t like staying still for too long. The event lasts for 6 hours total, so players have a decent amount of time to wrangle in the Toddlers and complete the goals.
