There are probably not a lot of gamers out there playingThe Witcher 3right now, unless they are diehard fans, as the game released quite a few years back. But if you’ve been aching for a bit more adventure in the world of monsters and men, or you somehow missed out on this incredible title, now would be an opportune time to continue your travels with Geralt of Rivia on PC. An HD rework mod has just been released that improves the visuals to an impressive extent, making the world ofThe Witcher 3all the more real.

The mod was just made available and can be downloaded now throughNexus Mods. The aim of theWitcher 3HD Reworked Project, as it is called, is to"improve the graphics by reworking models and textures to better quality preserving the original art style." That means everything we love about the look ofThe Witcherremains the same, but it is much more stunning.

Once the mod is installed, there is a noticeable difference in the textures of surrounding nature and structures as well as clothing and armor. But don’t just take our word for it. The people behind the project put together a preview video of their work in action, which includes some lovely transitions that show just how effective the mod is.

If the PC and its mods don’t grab you, but there is still interest in the game on console,The Witcher 3is also available on PS4 and Xbox One and is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. There hasn’t been any official word on when the Switch version will be available, but a recentrelease date leaksuggests it will be coming in late September 2019.

Also arriving later this year is theWitcherNetflix series. Taking inspiration from both the video games and the books they were based on, this dark, gritty new series will feature Henry Cavill (Superman in the DCEU) as Geralt of Rivia. Ever since his involvement was announced, the star has been regularly updating his Instagram page with behind the scenes photos. Most recently, Cavill provided audiences with a preview ofGeralt riding Roach, his trusty steed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Huntwill be released on Nintendo Switch in 2019, and is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
