Yellowstonefans have a hard pill to swallow today as they get the news about Beth and Rip’s spinoff show. Taylor Sheridan’s original neo-Western series concluded whenYellowstoneseason 5, part 2 endedlast December. That said, vitalYellowstonecharacters from season 5will continue their stories in several upcoming spinoffs.

However, the most anticipated spinoff is the series centering on Beth and Rip, with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising theYellowstonepower coupleto lead the show. It looked like the spinoff would debut just a year after the original series ended, but fans will now be disappointed to know that they won’t be closing out the year with Beth and Rip.

The studio didn’t explain the adjustment, thoughthe shift in theYellowstonespinoff’s scheduling could be due to the recent merger between Skydance and Paramount, which is causing changes.

The timeline is a change of plans from whenBeth and Rip’sYellowstonespinoff release window was seemingly confirmedin Paramount’s Q1 earnings call, which indicated the show would come in November 2025.The change could also be a strategy to spread out Sheridan’s programming, though several of his projects seem to be experiencing holdups.

Landman Season 2 Has Moved From November To December

The continuation, now reportedly titledThe Dutton Ranchafter someconfusion about Beth and Rip’sYellowstonespinoff title, isn’t the only Taylor Sheridan show experiencing reported delays.Paramount also reported thatLandmanseason 2 will arrive later than expected, even though the upcoming season of Billy Bob Thornton’s Texas oil drama wasinitially slated to premiere alongside theYellowstoneshow in November.

Granted,Landman’s delay is far less significant than Beth and Rip’s show.Landmanseason 2 has been filming in West Texas and Oklahomathis summer, so the show is officially in production. It will reportedly only be stalled by a month, premiering its sophomore outing in December. In contrast, there’s no word about when Beth and Rip’s series will start filming.

It would have been great to seeBeth and Rip’s spinoff storyless than a year after their story in the original show concluded in December. That said,The Dutton Ranchpremiering sometime in 2026 would still be a reasonable turnaround, especially since it’s a streaming show. Considering it’s a new series entirely, waiting a little longer makes sense.

There are severalYellowstonespinoffs in the works:The Dutton Ranch,CBS’Y: Marshalswith Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), andThe Madisonstarring Michelle Pfeiffer. Ideally, all three shows would finally premiere in 2026.However, Sheridan’s projects have experienced divisive holdups in the past, but hopefully, we won’t see too many delays in Beth and Rip’s continuation.
