Although Neve Campbell is absent fromTwisted Metalseason 2, the show hints at how the actor can return in future seasons. After two years, Peacock’s Twisted Metal has returned, focusing on John Doe and Quiet entering Calypso’s tournament. This means twice the car stunt scenes as season 1, and plenty ofnew characters inTwisted Metalseason 2.
Most of the major actors fromTwisted Metalseason 1 return in season 2, but the show has one notable absence: Neve Campbell. TheTwisted Metalshowrunner discussed absent characters coming backin the future, which is promising for fans who loved Neve Campbell’s character. Additionally, the premiere episode provided the perfect method for her to return.
Multiple Raven Characters In Twisted Metal Means Neve Campbell Can Still Return
My biggest complaint after watching Twisted Metal season 1 is the fact that Neve Campbell’s Raven was absolutely nothing like the video game character. Luckily, season 2 found a clever way to include the OG video game version of Raven, played by Guggenheim, while leaving the door open for Neve Campbell’s Alpha Raven (aka Downtown Raven) to return.
When speaking with the other Ravens, she states that Alpha Raven is stationed at Kelly’s Bar, taking care of that area of New San Francisco.
Multiple Ravens exist in New San Francisco, with Patty Guggenheim’s Raven leading the group. That means that Neve Campbell can return to the show when she has the time, but the show won’t be lacking in the meantime. Currently, she’s acting on both The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 and Scream 7, which kept her from appearing in Twisted Metal season 2.
Twisted Metal Season 2’s Premiere Confirms That Neve Campbell’s Raven Still Exists
When the Twisted Metal season 2 trailer came out, people mistakenly believed that Neve Campbell had been recast with Patty Guggenheim. However, the Peacock TV show actually confirms that Neve Campbell’s Alpha Raven still exists in New San Francisco, and she’s still working with the group of Ravens.
When speaking with the other Ravens, she states that Alpha Raven is stationed at Kelly’s Bar, taking care of that area of New San Francisco. Raven also explains in Twisted Metal season 2’s debut episode where the character is and why she’s not interacting with John Doe anymore. She says this:
Downtown Raven? Yeah, everyone loves her. She did well. Fit the look the public tends to respond to. For some reason, everyone fears Mommy in a pantsuit. In my opinion, she got too big for her blouse. You know she’s from Molesto?”
Raven then goes on to explain that she doesn’t like the way Alpha Raven handled John Doe gently inTwisted Metalseason 1. She thinks he hasn’t been working hard enough to prepare for the tournament because of Alpha Raven. Now, John Doe has to deal with the real Raven, who is willing to make the process painful and difficult.
