While manyValorantplayers are still disappointed that the game won’t be gettingthe highly requested map selection feature, it’s not all bad news for fans of the shooter. In the same Ask Valorant blog post, Riot Games confirmed that an in-game replay system is something that is being looked into for a future update.

Valoranthas dealt with a rocky start since the game’s full launch following beta. Many players were put off by the shooter for including ahighly invasive anti-cheatsoftware that if players turned off while not playing the game, they would need to perform a full PC restart to be able to play the game again.

However, it looks like Riot Games is trying to garner some goodwill back with itsValorantaudience. According to its most recent Ask Valorant blog post, when asked ifValorantwould be getting an in-game replay system, Senior Producer Steven Eldredge said, “Yes! This is something that we’re interested in exploring soon.”

Eldredge went on to say that, “Whether it’s to study previous matches for tactical advantages or tocreate spicy memes, we know that players will find a wide range of interesting uses for a system like this.” While this is great news for those interested in a replay system, unfortunately, there’s no telling how ‘soon’ this could actually be.

A replay system will be a great addition to the game, however, that won’t be enough for most players to want to hop back in.Valoranthas seen a major decline in streams following launch and is still dealing with a 5.4average user score on Metacritic, so it seems like most players have made up their mind about the game. Hopefully, Riot Games will be able to patch things over with players sooner rather than later.
