Weak Hero Class 2’s Post-Credits Scene Explained: Who Killed Baek-jin
The Post-Credits Scene Reveals A Horrifying Truth
The post-credits scene inWeak Hero Class 2includes two interconnected scenes. In the first scene, gangster head Choi approaches Seong-je at the bowling club and asks him if he would be willing to take Baek-jin’s place as the Union’s new leader. Unlike Baek-jin, Seong-je is not the kind of character who buckles under pressure and mindlessly chases power just to feel important. Therefore, instead of falling for the same trap that ultimately led to Baek-jin’s downfall,Seong-je declines the offer, claiming that it is not romantic enough.
The truth behind Baek-jin’s tragic fate is not revealed, but it seems likely that Choi got him killed after his loss against Si-eun and Hu-min.
The first scene ends with Seong-je asking Choi where Baek-jin is. Although Choi denies knowing anything about Baek-jin’s sudden disappearance, the second scene in the post-credits sequence reveals that he is dead. Si-eun and his friends attend his funeral, and Hu-min even cries his eyes out since Baek-jin was once his best friend before he joined the Union. The truth behind Baek-jin’s tragic fate is not revealed, but it seems likely that Choi got him killed after his loss against Si-eun and Hu-min.
Previous scenes in the series had already established how ruthless Choi was and how little he cared about the Union students working under him. He previously gave Baek-jin an ultimatum to set things straight, suggesting that he decided to get him killed after he failed to fulfill his responsibilities as the Union’s leader. Baek-jin liked to believe he was holding a position of power, but he was merely another cog in the wheel of the dangerous criminal machinery that Choi operated.
How Si-eun & Hu-min Beat Baek-jin In Weak Hero Class 2’s Finale
Si-eun Comes Up With A Backup Plan To Take Down Baek-jin
Since Hu-min had taught Baek-jin how to fight, he had good reason to believe he could overpower him. During the final showdown’s early moments, Hu-min also puts his fighting skills and IQ on full display by overpowering Baek-jin. However, Baek-jin soon proves he is no less formidable by putting up an incredible fight. As a result, the tides soon turn in Baek-jin’s favor, and he defeats Hu-min. But before he can force Eunjang to comply with the Union’s activities, Si-eun shows up to continue the fight.
…Si-eun had planned to step in if Baek-jin defeated Su-ho and keep him occupied long enough for Su-ho to recover
Si-eun has never been the best fighter in Weak Hero. Even in season 1, Su-ho was leagues above in terms of skills. Class 2 also establishes that fighters like Baek-jin, Hu-min, and Seong-je are better than him. However, Si-eun’s ability to keep going despite taking several major blows and his presence of mind make him a worthy competitor. Even during his fight with Baek-jin,Si-eun cleverly targets his limbs to ensure that he gradually breaks him. Although he fails to overpower Baek-jin, a flashback reveals that Si-eun had planned what they would do if Hu-min lost against Baek-jin.
The flashback establishes that Si-eun had planned to step in if Baek-jin defeated Hu-min and keep him occupied long enough for Hu-min to recover. Everything goes as planned when Hu-min regains his strength while Si-eun targets Baek-jin’s limbs. When Hu-min finally stands up to fight again, Baek-jin seems incapable of defending himself, let alone continuing the fight. With this, Hu-min lands a few more blows on him before taking him down.
The Union In Weak Hero Class 2 Explained
It Comprises A Group Of Delinquents Representing A Set Of Schools
InWeak Hero Class 2’s episode 3, Jun-tae tells Si-eun thatall the schools around Eujang High belong to a union of delinquents. While Baek-jin serves as the leading figure of the Union, every school has primary representatives. The main members of the Union are as follows:
They operate as a gang and hope to have Eujang High as a part of their gang. However, Hu-min was not interested in joining their alliance and ensured that his school stayed away from the Union. The Union kids tried to force Eujang High’s participation by attacking every student who wore the school’s uniform, butHu-min taught them a lesson by single-handedly beating all Union leaders.
Weak Hero Class 2’s episode 6 reveals that Baek-jin serves as the manager of the bowling alley he operates from. The bowling alley might look like any other regular business, but it is used to launder money. A gangster runs the place, manipulates its sales, and intentionally hires Union boys as employees so that he can inflate their salaries. Even the money from Daesung Motorcycles, a local garage, is illegal and laundered there.

Si-eun’s Plan To Dissolve The Union Explained
Si-eun Initially Tries To Take A Non-Violent Route
Si-eun realizes that since Seong-je is an insider, only he can help them infiltrate the Union. As a result, he approaches him and asks him for help. However, even though Seong-je initially pretends to be on his side and even provides him with some concrete information and proof of the Union’s illegal activities, he eventually turns his back and shows his true colors.

Beom-seok Helps Si-eun Overcome His Guilt
After nearly getting hit by a truck, Si-eun goes into shock duringWeak Hero Class 2’s final arc. Instead of telling Beom-seok he is wrong,Si-eun asks for his forgiveness and, in turn, relieves himself from the guilt of feeling responsible for everything that happened between him and Su-ho.
How Weak Hero Class 2 Sets Up Class 3
Su-ho’s Return Means He Will Join Eujang High
AfterWeak Hero Class 1’s events, it seems unlikely that Su-ho will be allowed to rejoin his previous school again. Therefore, inWeak Hero Class 3,he will probably end up at Eujang High and become a part of Si-eun’s new circle. Although it will be a while before he regains his old strength, Su-ho, too, will eventually become a key pillar of Eunjang’s defense. Given how Choi starts looking for Baek-jin’s replacement inWeak Hero Class 2’s post-credits scene, Eunjang will need even stronger players to fight against the gangster.
In a conversation withScreen Rant, Choi Min-yeong (who plays Jun-tae) discussed how he would want his character to further evolve in future seasons. Park Ji-hoon (who plays Yeon Si-eun), on the other hand, said that he would want to see his character go rogue after losing his friends in season 3.
Seong-je declines Choi’s offer in the post-credits scene, but it seems likely that Choi will blackmail him and force him to become Baek-jin’s replacement. With this, Seong-je could becomeWeak HeroClass 3’s main villain. However, for now, since no official announcements have been made about the series' renewal on Netflix, audiences will have to wait and see whether the next installment will be greenlit.
