Weak Hero Class 2includes several great characters, but some of them rank higher than others. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Seopass and Kim Jin-seok,Weak Hero Class 2stars Park Jin-hoon, who reprises his role as Yeon Si-eun, Ryeo Un, Lee Min-jae, and Choi Min-yeong.Weak Heroinitially aired on the Korean streaming platform Wavve, but was added to Netflix’s library ahead of its season 2 premiere. The sophomore season ofthe coming-of-age K-dramacontinues Si-eun’s story after he transferred to Eujang High School.

Given thatWeak Hero Class 1concludedwith Su-ho in a coma, Beom-seok moving to the Philippines, and Si-eun staying with his mother and completing his education at a different high school, new characters were introduced inClass 2. While some of them are similar to those inClass 1, they each have their own identities and personalities. Compared toClass 1,Weak Hero Class 2had more action scenes, and the characters in the K-drama did a great job of combining action and emotions.

Jun-tae & Si-eun in Weak Hero Class 2

7Choi Hyo-Man

Played By Yu Su-Bin

Choi Hyo-man was introduced toWeak Heroin the mid-credit scenes ofClass 1. Hyo-man initially tried to bully Si-eun, but after he was unsuccessful, he left Si-eun alone and instead tormented his other classmates. The bully’s greatest goal was to join the Union, so he would force other people to steal phones from the students in the school in order to make money for Mr. Choi, the leader of the gang.

Hyo-man doesn’t necessarily have a lot of depth and was often cruel, but he is entertaining and is willing to back down when he knows he can’t win a fight.

Si-eun and Seong-je fighting in Weak Hero Class 2

Although Hyo-man started out as a bad guy (and might still be one), he did the right thing at theend ofWeak Hero Class 2.He joined the rest of his schoolmates and fought against Baek-jin, whom he had initially admired, so that Eujang wouldn’t be part of the Union.Hyo-man doesn’t necessarily have a lot of depth and was often cruel, but he is entertaining and is willing to back down when he knows he can’t win a fight.

6Geum Seong-Je

Played By Lee Jun-Young

Seong-je, the Union leader of Ganghak High School, is Baek-jin’s second-in-command. Seong-je has a cruel streak and is the happiest when he is fighting or tormenting people. As Baek-jin’s second-in-command, Seong-je helps run the Union. But after Baek-jin disappears, Seong-je doesn’t jump at becoming the Union’s next leader because that would mean he would have to answer to Mr. Choi, which wouldn’t work for him because he prefers to do his own thing.

Perhaps the best thing about Seong-je is that he is who he is and doesn’t pretend to be anyone else. When Si-eun tries to get him on his side, Seong-je seems to agree, but he feels that he isn’t meant to be a good guy. He knows that he is the kind of person who finds doing good things boring and would rather spend his life having fun. Because of this, Seong-je would be the perfect character to beClass 3’s next villain.

5Na Baek-Jin

Played By Bae Na-Ra

InWeak Hero Class 2, it initially seems like Seong-je is the villain in the K-drama, which he is, but Na Baek-jin was the one running the show. The leader of the Union, Baek-jin, loves power and money. He runs his organization with a tight fist and doesn’t take kindly to having his authority questioned. While Baek-jin is in charge of the Union, he barely gets his hands dirty, but is more focused on ensuring that he makes enough money for his boss and getting good grades.

Although Baek-jin was cruel, menacing, and unlikeable, he also had a vulnerable side.Baek-jin and Park Hu-min grew up together, and the latter taught him how to fight because his classmates used to pick on him and beat him up due to his background. Although he did despicable things, all Baek-jin wanted was to have Hu-min as his friend once again, because despite everything he had, Baek-jin was also incredibly lonely, thus, he added a complexity that was missing from some of the characters inClass 2.

4Go Hyun-Tak

Played By Lee Min-Jae

Likemost action K-dramas,Weak Hero Class 2includes a character who is great at fighting. Go Hyun-tak, or Gotak, is one of the few characters who stood up to Hyo-min. Gotak and Si-eun start off on the wrong foot, but they begin to get along after they work out their differences.

Despite Gotak seeming like he is stubborn and doesn’t apologize, he has a heart of gold underneath his tough exterior. The basketball player is a protector at his core, and he tries to shield the weak from the strong, any chance he is given. In a way, he is like Su-ho in that respect, which is perhaps why Si-eun let him in.

3Seo Jun-Tae

Played By Choi Min-Yeong

Choi Hyo-man had a group of students he bullied, and Seo Jun-tae was one of them. Jun-tae, who was tasked with stealing phones for Hyo-min, wasn’t willing to cross Si-eun. But when Hyo-min forces him to, he has no choice but to do it, so he doesn’t risk the bully’s wrath. But after he steals Si-eun’s phone, Jun-tae gets the courage he needed to stand up to his bullies. He returned everything he stole from his classmates and apologized.

Jun-tae initially seems weak, but his strength lies in his emotional intelligence and not his physical prowess. When Jun-tae is wrong, he goes to great lengths to make things right. He is loyal, caring, and can fight when the situation calls for it (even though he loses most of the time). Like Si-eun, Jun-tae is quiet, but has a fun side that comes out when he hangs out with his friends. His mellow personality not only worked well with Si-eun’s intensity but also perfectly blended in with Gotak and Baku’s loudness.

2Park Hu-Min

Played By Ryeo Un

In several ways,Park Hu-min and Su-ho are similar. He is the goofy one in their group, the best fighter, and doesn’t take himself too seriously.Despite his sunny disposition, Hu-min has a lot of dark things going on in his life. His dad is an alcoholic, and he is poor. However, his not-so-great circumstances don’t stop him from helping people.

Hu-min, or Baku as he is fondly known by his peers, is Eujang’s protector. Because of him, Eujang was the only school that wasn’t part of the Union, so his classmates and the rest of the students greatly admired him.Baku stood up for everyone and would put himself on the line if it meant that his family and friends would be safe. His personality and dynamic with Hyun-tak perfectly fit in with Jun-tae and Si-eun’s shy and quiet dispositions.

1Yeon Si-Eun

Played By Park Ji-Hoon

There isn’t much of a difference between the Si-eun inWeak Hero Class 1andClass 2.Si-eun is as scary as ever inthe thriller K-drama, but more withdrawn because of what happened to Beom-seok and Su-ho. Initially, Si-eun is reluctant to get involved in anything that has nothing to do with him until one day when Hyo-man mercilessly beats up Jun-tae. Jun-tae ends up becoming friends with Si-eun, but it’s only when Hu-min and Hyun-tak join their group that Si-eun begins to come out of his shell.

One of the best things about Si-eun is that he refuses to let the strong prey on the weak. Even when he tries to mind his own business, he isn’t comfortable with seeing Jun-tae, or anyone else, get hurt. Si-eun is fearless, loyal, and willing to do whatever it takes to protect his friends.Class 1established that Si-eun could fight and wouldn’t let anyone bully him, butWeak Hero Class 2showed that he was still capable of being a good friend in spite of the trauma he had gone through at his previous school.
