2K Sports recently revealed a new trailer for the upcomingWWE 2K20video game, this time focusing on the2K Showcase mode, which will chronicle the careers of the “Four Horsewomen” in the WWE - Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks. However, the trailer has not exactly had the reaction that 2K Sports may have anticipated, as it is being mocked by some fans online.

The latest trailer forWWE 2K20shows clips of some of the notable moments in WWE’s “Women’s Evolution,” along with short interviews with the wrestlers involved. However, the trailer has no gameplay to speak of, despite the fact that the game is set to launch in about a month. Many fans in the comments section of the trailer and on Twitter have poked fun at the fact that it doesn’t show any gameplay, with some going as far as to suggest that the game is so similar to last year’s entry that 2K Sports is deliberately not showing it to avoid backlash.

This is likely not the case at all, as some gameplay ofWWE 2K20has been shown here and there. It’s true that most of theWWE 2K20trailers so far have been live-action, but many have also had gameplay clips included, though they’ve admittedly been pretty brief.

2K Sports has yet to release uninterrupted gameplay of an actualWWE 2K20match in action, which is part of the reason why some people have come to the conclusion that 2K Sports is deliberately not showing gameplay for some shady reason. However, it has shown off other aspects ofWWE 2K20, though the footage hasn’t exactly been action-packed.

Over the past few weeks, 2K Sports has been releasing entrance videos forWWE 2K20, showing off Samoa Joe’s entrance,Steve Austin’s entrance, and more. These videos have shown off the game’s high graphical quality, but there were some complaints about Steve Austin’s entrance not really matching the mannerisms of The Texas Rattlesnake as well as some fans would have hoped.

There’s still about a month to go beforeWWE 2K20’s official release, so hopefully fans get a more substantial look at gameplay soon.

WWE 2K20launches on October 22 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
